Description:

PENCO provided civil engineering design and survey services for this 15-acre complex consisting of 15 office buildings and two retail buildings.

The City required an on-site detention basin be part of the project approval. PENCO analyzed and submitted updated hydrology report to the City demonstrating that no basin was actually required. This resulted in a shorter construction phase and a savings of $200,000 to the Client.

As part of the on-site storm drain design, PENCO prepared a storm water quality CDS filtration to be included as part of the Storm Water Best Practices (CBM’s).

PENCO prepared on-site hillside grading, drainage, water, and sewer. Challenges included grading for accessibility to buildings and drainage between the buildings. This required close coordination with the architect and landscape architect.

Other challenges included design of retaining walls and slopes to maximize pad sites for all buildings.
